Experts have reached surprising results: people who consume flavored drinks with artificial sweeteners have an increased risk of stroke, heart attack, and vascular disease.
Studies have shown that excessive consumption of sweeteners is extremely harmful and predisposes to serious illnesses; in fact, they should be avoided in the same way as sugar.
The results of the study did not demonstrate that the consumption of sugary drinks had a beneficial effect on the body, but revealed that all soft drinks, whether sweetened or artificially sweetened, are harmful.
“Consuming any carbonated beverage can cause stomach irritation, bloating, and heartburn,” explains dietician Amanda Wahlstedt.
